Slow Flow

This is a strong but slower paced version of a vinyasa flow class (mindful movement linked together by breath), designed to place more focus on breath, body awareness, alignment, and intention. Movements are slower and postures may be held for a longer period of time building strength, stability, flexibility, and deeper awareness. We invite beginners and seasoned practitioners of all shapes, sizes and age groups to approach this challenging but accessible practice from a place of mindfulness and peace.

Stretch + Restore and Yin Yoga

 An accessible practice of mainly seated and reclining postures on the floor, using props to gently support you in each pose. This practice includes longer holds coupled with breath and mindfulness as a tool for deep release and relaxation. The postures in this practice are approached gently, targeting muscles and connective tissues for increased flexibility, and using meditation as a tool for grounding. An important balance from your movement-based classes and busy lifestyle, this is a necessary practice for all bodies.

Yoga Ease

This class is a mix of gentle styles of yoga and is generally suitable for all students. The practice is therapeutic in nature and may combine gentle, flowing movements + standing poses with low and slow stretching at the floor. "Yoga as therapy" for absolutely all bodies. Great for beginners, athletes, seniors, injury rehabilitation, pregnant women, and anyone else who could use some ease and softness in their life and yoga practice.
May include: Yin + Flow, Gentle Flow, + Therapeutic Yoga

Elemental Vinyasa Flow

This class will offer a powerful yoga practice based on the five elements and other Ayurvedic concepts, class rhythms aligning with the changing seasons. Each class will also include bite-size pieces of Ayurveda education as well as exploring different styles of pranayama and meditation. (Some yoga experience is recommended.)

Vinyasa Flow

In this moderately paced class, movement is synchronized with the breath. It is called "flow" yoga because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance. This challenging, well-rounded practice is helpful in building strength, stamina, and flexibility, while learning to find your edge and taking care of your body. All levels welcome.

VIBE + FLOW

VIBE + FLOW is a low-impact, high-energy vinyasa flow yoga class. The flow emphasizes muscle engagement, joint alignment, mind + body awareness, and focused intention. This class builds strength + flexibility with graceful movement into a fun, creative flow - that gets our energy Flowing and leaves students feeling the Vibe. Vibe + Flow uses great music, creative transitions, and the high-intensity of a vigorous Vinyasa, but without the higher impact elements / HIIT of a Buti class.

Morning Yin-Yasa

Ease into your early morning body with this practice! We'll begin with yin postures to slowly wake up the connective tissues and the breath before moving into more a active, flowing sequence to awaken your muscles, circulation, and your mind. The perfect way to begin your day!

Sankalpa {Intention} Yoga

Sankalpa {Intention} Yoga combines the use of theme, poetry, and words of power to create a thread that draws a connection between movements on and off the mat. You will be led through guided meditation and meditative slow flow movements that build strength and flexibility in both mind and body. Receive the benefit of a solid yoga practice with a dash of something extra, and you may even find a missing piece of yourself along the way.
{'Sankalpa' is the Sanskrit word for 'intention}
Lydia Steadman is the designer and facilitator of this unique offering.

Aerial Yoga

A combination of traditional yoga poses done on the floor, and postures practiced using a soft fabric “trapeze”, or “sling”, suspended at waist height. In aerial yoga our body weight is distributed between the fabric and the floor, allowing us to access traditional yoga postures in new ways. Some benefits of aerial yoga are increased strength, easier alignment and decompression of the joints, especially the spine, with the help of gravity. Also, it's really FUN! Aerial Yoga was designed for anyone of any age or fitness level. Complete beginners to yoga and/or aerial will be right at home, with everyone working at their own level. If you have any physical limitations or concerns, consult with your doctor first.

5Elements Flow

5Elements Flow Yoga is a model of five creative, dynamic vinyasa flow practices within the Kunga Yoga School developed by Kristin Cooper and inspired by the teachings of Ayurveda. 5Elements Flow is based on the “panchamahabhutus,” or the five great elements of nature, and is for students of all levels. This practice teaches a deeper understanding of the elements through unique namaskars and posture sequencing, and offers the practitioner a toolbox of five flow practices which correlate with changing seasons and life cycles.

Rachael Harper has been certified by the Kunga Yoga School to teach 5Elements Flow since 2014. These are still some of her favorite classes to teach (and practice)!

Deep Flow

This slow paced and strong practice includes longer holds and deeper breaths in active, strengthening standing postures as well as seated and supine stretches. A 'Slow Power Flow' taking you deeper into your body and awareness, ultimately allowing for a deeper savasana.

Ashtanga Elements

A vigorous practice that draws from the Ashtanga Primary Series. Ashtanga yoga is the "father" of vinyasa and power flow and is named for the 8 Limbed Path described in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. This highly disciplined practice promotes internal heat, sweat, detoxification, and may result in improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.
When available, Ashtanga is practiced in the "Mysore" style, which is at your own pace. With your teacher's guidance, you will learn the sequence through repetition and move to the next pose only when you're ready. You may arrive anytime between 6-7am on Tue + Thu to begin your practice, the practice window is 90min.
{On select Thursdays in ‘Elemental Vinyasa’ a led version of the 1/2 primary series or ‘Ashtanga Inspired’ flow may be offered including options for use of props and modifications. Occasionally we will pause and focus on specific areas and advanced versions of postures so that you have time to learn and ask questions. The led practice lasts about 75 min.}
