Give yourself the gift of deep relaxation and healing with Yoga Nidra, or Yogic Sleep. Yoga Nidra is a guided, restful meditation that invites you to move out of your Beta “doing” brain wavelengths into the deeper Alpha and Theta “being” brain wavelengths while lying in Savasana. A Yoga Nidra practice helps reduce the stress and tensions that you carry. It is said that one hour of Yoga Nidra is equal to four hours of deep sleep.
Natalie will lead you through some gentle movements, breath awareness, help you set an intention, and guide you through a Yoga Nidra meditation while Rachael will invite final rest with the sounds of singing bowls.
This workshop is open to all levels – no meditation or yoga experience necessary. We have mats, bolsters and blankets. You are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing; and to bring any other items that will make you as comfortable and cozy as possible (pillows, socks, sweater, etc.). If you tend to get cold, make sure to dress warm as the body temperature tends to drop during relaxation.
