Discover health, vitality and balance through Ayurveda, the traditional system of healing from India. The word Ayurveda means "to know life" and describes the art of wholesome, natural living to improve your energy, longevity, and well-being.
The focus of this 1/2 day retreat/workshop is staying joyful and healthy through our Southern Summer, known as "Pitta Season" in Ayurveda. ("Pitta" describes the energy of fire and transformation, one of the 3 main energies that make up your personal constitution.) You'll learn the importance of seasonal lifestyle + food choices, daily routine, and more tips to bring your whole self into balance in order to stay healthy and avoid feeling depleted by the time the Fall season rolls around.
Rachael will offer accessible seasonal yoga practices, abhyanga massage, and we'll sample tasty Ayurvedic treats that you can easily recreate in your own home kitchen!
